I was reading some articles today about people receiving unwanted Christmas gifts and what they do with them.
Actually it was pretty funny as they asked people to wrote in their most memorable / awful / unwanted gifts.
Some were pretty funny, like the mother in law that sent the daughter in law a jar of beautifully wrapped fish food (they have no fish) what the?
In pondering this, I am sure we can all remember at least one gift that was in this category.
A man wrote in saying that as a child he eagerly awaited the gift sent from his interstate grandmother, one year, it arrived, in a box, wrapped up and made a fascinating tinkling sound.
Waiting for the next 10 days, on Christmas day he rushed down to open it, fascinated in what may contain an interesting sounding toy, to discover .................... a box of nutra grain (breakfast cereal).
An affirmation for today, should you find yourself the recipient of some unwanted items (before you ebay them):
I delight in the abundant gifts that have been gifted to me from others every blessed day of my life.
